UK Parliament Week (UKPW) is an annual event, spreading the word about what Parliament is, what it does and how you can get involved. It’s a great way to find out new things about UK Parliament or be reminded of things you might’ve forgotten!
Last year over 1.6 million people took part in every nation and region of the UK, and countries all over the world.

As a new parliamentarian, I have promised to make sure that the voices of people in Heywood and Middleton North are heard in some of the most important decisions of our generation. Understanding how Parliament works is crucial for holding both myself, as your MP, and our government to account.
I’m proud to live in a democracy which is revered around the world for our transparency, honesty, stability, and openness. I am celebrating Parliament Week because it is the responsibility of all of us to keep it that way.
