I was really pleased to support the Tesco Winter Food Collection this weekend.

Rochdale Foodbank supports people living across the borough, and it was brilliant to meet Ian and Margaret who run it, alongside the Tesco Community Champion Angela and local shoppers who donate regularly. #EveryCanHelps

The Collection is being held to gather long-life food for Tesco’s two partner charities – Trussell and FareShare.  Shoppers are normally given a list of the items that foodbanks need the most when you enter the store and you can add those things as you shop.

I encourage everyone to consider donating, or volunteer for the Food Collection – when collection points are manned by volunteers more people donate.  You can find out more and volunteer for the Collection here: Trussell or FareShare.
