I had a great time at The Teenage Market in Middleton last weekend, where 20 young people had the opportunity to trade for free in Middleton Gardens.

It was a very successful collaborative effort, and it is encouraging to see so many coming together to support the initiative, including the Rochdale Development Agency.

As well as the market and this stylish crochet hat(!), Art House Middleton, ran an arts workshop using cynotype.  It has only been open a couple of weeks, and it is very exciting to see what they can do in the future, and is exactly the new vibe we need in Middleton using creativity and culture to being new opportunities into the town.

I’m looking forward to the next one, and a big congratulations to the young people who took their first steps into running a business!
