Local Economy

Following her election as Mayor of Greater Manchester, I have written to Bev Craig to enlist her support for our local areas, and some of my political priorities:

• The return of an express bus service connecting Bamford, Norden, Heywood and Manchester city centre.
• Metrolink to Heywood should stick to the original timeline of ‘spades in the ground’ by 2028
• Skills development and support so that local people can be first in line for the new jobs in the Atom Valley and Middleton Mayoral Development Corporations.
